The Toronto Region Rhododendron and Horticultural Society (TRRHS) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to encourage interest in Rhododendrons and Azaleas and disseminate information about the genus Rhododendron to the Society membership and the public. Our membership includes both novice and expert gardeners whose social activities include seed and plant exchanges, annual plant sales, maintenance of public gardens, communication through newsletters and associations with other horticultural societies throughout North America. The TRR&HS is a proud District 12 Chapter member of the American Rhododendron Society(ARS) and District 5 of the Ontario Horticultural Society.
The TRR&HS holds general meetings for members and the public at the Toronto Botanical Gardens. TRRHS publishes a quarterly newsletter entitled ECICACEAE for our members. Certain articles and news items from Ecicaceae appear regularly on this web site, click on the menu tabs at the top of this page to view more pages on this site. Our connections page will help you get in touch with other horticultural societies and garden clubs.
Our society exists to promote the use of these splendid plants in local gardens & to dispel the myth that they are hard to grow.
